Management coaching
Learn to help employees part with those little bad habits that supervisors don't like to deal with through discipline: things like lateness, dress code problems, negativity, following through with procedures, etc. Master the "tough" conversation. Use a combination of body and voice control, and patient questioning techniques to have an adult-to-adult conversation that wins genuine commitment and follow-through.

10-12 May 2010 -- Excellence in Manufacturing Conference, Hamilton, ON: Introduction to the Turnaround Interview.
Turnaround Interview is an innovative and interactive workshop that teaches you to correct bad habits and behaviour in good employees without using discipline. It allows you to maintain high standards while keeping a positive and engaged workforce, and limits the use of discipline to the serious or difficult matters where the tagline "up to and including termination" is a real consideration. The method is taught using live actors and real situations!
22 April 2010-- Ontario Hospital Association Conference, Sudbury, ON.
Montana is presenting together with our strategic partners and customer service training experts, Effectivation Inc., on culture change in health care.
28 February 2010 -- Montana to develop online course in Principle Based Labour Relations.
Principle Based Labour Relations has been one of our greatest training successes. This course, which until now was done only "in-house" with clients, teaches managers a new way of thinking about issues that arise under collective agreements. It gives them a strong, high-integrity approach to resolving problems. Now, Professional Development Programs Director Geordie Raine is converting PBLR to a widely-available online course using a new and exciting e-learning platform. Watch for more news in late 2010!
1 February 2010 -- Montana welcomes Business Consultant Maxime Labbé.
Max is transitioning to Montana from his previous position as HR Manager for Grant Thornton LLC. Max brings a wealth of experience in leadership development, industrial relations, and HR and business consulting. Max is a graduate of Univerité Laval in Industrial Relations, and is developing Montana's client base in Québec and the Maritimes.
1 February 2010 -- Jennifer L. Boyd opens law practice
Montana Associate Consultant Jennifer Boyd today began her independent law practice, specializing in employment and human rights law. Jennifer will continue to provide HR consulting services to Montana, but now will augment those services through legal support from her own firm.
1 February 2010 -- Montana welcomes Business Development Manager Kim Perreault.
Kim will be helping Montana to maintain contact with Eastern Canadian businesses even while our consultants maintain their busy calendars. A former HR manager in industry, she will also support several projects for our clients.
1 February 2010 -- Montana HR Services Inc. registers new business names for Groupe Conseil Montana and Montana Consulting Group
Montana Consulting Group / Groupe Conseil Montana will be the name under which our consulting business is carried on. The name change better reflects the broader basis of Montana's organizational transformation consulting practice and works better in both official languages, reflecting our intent to provide in-depth HR, industrial relations, and change management consulting for Francophone clients.
